The Road Brake Cordz System integrates perfectly with existing brake systems (Shimano, SRAM, Campy compatible) with little to no modification using our proprietary Windsor (patent pending) brake clasp. We sweat the small details to include everything you need to upgrade your road bicycle properly.
This system incorporates our proven Road Cordz with our lightweight, compressionless Kevlar reinforced housing (you won’t find spec’d on a stock road bike no matter how expensive) and our own sealed, alloy ferrules that resist wear. Our housing liner is pre-lubed with special Teflon grease to withstand water and is formulated to stay put in the housing where it belongs. Our ferrules are made of alloy to prevent bending and housing deformation. They are lined to reduce friction and sealed to keep out the grit. These small details ensure your Cordz operate perfect for years.
EZ-Bend housing segments are included to aid with the tight bends encountered when running housing on drop bars. Plus, they prevent the need to re-wrap your bars in the event you need to make a housing repair or remove your bar(think shipping).
The bottom line - The Power Corz System is far superior to the cheap cables & housing supplied on even the most high-end of road bikes. Think weight savings, durability, and increased control.
Please read: Like many of the technologically advanced products of today (your carbon fiber bicycle frameset for example), our synthetic Road Cordz are a lightweight performance product and are not designed to last forever. Road Brake Cordz have a lifespan of three years from the date they are manufactured. Although they are proven to last much longer we recommend you replace your Cordz accordingly. Each set of Brake Cordz have an expiration date printed on the package, please take notice and record this date. Three years is a long time to safely run any type of brake cable so we feel this is an adequate life for the performance you receive with Power Cordz.
Be sure to check your Cordz before to be sure they are in safe working order. If you notice the nylon casing is worn or if the fibers are cut replace them immediately.
