Road Brake Cordz are the lightweight alternative to steel cables. They are designed to drop right into your existing brake system (Shimano, SRAM, Campy compatible) with little to no modifications using our proprietary Windsor (patent pending) brake clasp (not included with Cordz Set). Road Brake Cordz Set & Clasp is designed to replace your existing steel cables using your existing housing (if in good condition, see notes below) and ferrules.
For your convenience we include our new Windsor Clasp (patent pending)in both 5mm & 6mm sizes so you'll be covered no matter which manufactures brake system you are using.

If you're running Zero Gravity brakes you'll need to purchase the Winsor Clasp kit,
part # DPC-FBCZG, made specifically for Zero Gravity.
If your housing is old and worn then we recommend going with Road Brake Cordz System which includes our super stiff Kevlar housing and high quality ferrules. Your bike will love your for it!
REALLY IMPORTANT NOTE: Like many high-performance products, our synthetic Road Cordz are not designed to last forever. Road Brake Cordz have a lifespan of three years from the date they are manufactured. Although they are proven to last much longer we recommend you replace your Cordz accordingly. Each set of Brake Cordz have an expiration date printed on the package, please take notice and record this date. Three years is a long time to safely run any type of brake cable so we feel this is an adequate life for the performance you receive with Power Cordz.
On a side note (this is getting redundant isn't it?): Be sure to check your Cordz before to be sure they are in safe working order. If you notice the nylon casing is worn or if the fibers are cut replace them immediately. If you have any questions we will be happy to assist you!
